Line Rejections and Scrap Note are Part of Quality Management
 

• Line Rejection is for Parts from the Supplier, which need to be replaced by the supplier.
• Scrap Note is prepared for Manufactured Parts.
• Defect Analysis of the Line Rejection / Scrap Note can be Derived
• In case of Scrap the Value of scrap is derived from the Raw Material Used.
• Converting a SMR into a Line Rejection / Scrap Note.

Line Rejection and Scrap Note Captures the following :-
Document Numbering of Line Rejection/ Scap
Cost Centre , Production Date, Shift Details
Part No. Rejected
Quantity Rejected
Defect Analysis for the Part.
 
Classification of Parts / Defects
 
Quality Group defines the Parts which will have a set of Possible Defects.
 
Defects are Identified by a Defect code , a Type of Defect viz. Supplier/Process ,
Shop where it occurs, Categorising the defects.
 
How is the classification of parts / defect used ?
 
At the time of Entry of the document the Production Shop, Part No restrict the Possible defects from which the selection will be made.
 
From the Part No the Quality Group is derived and the Defects for the Part is Restricted to the production Shop in the document.
 
Rate for Scrap Note
The Rates for the Parts by Production Shop can be Maintained with effective date.
